Pediatric Urology Associates PC- Tarrytown

My son had an accident and was taken to the ER, he was recommended to follow up so that they van review imaging that was taken at the ER and they told us that we needed an appointment ASAP. They said call them up and tell them that this was an emergency. I called them first thing in the morning and we where told that we would have to wait an entire week even though I had an urgency letter from the hospital. Very disappointed!

My son is a patient of Dr. Pete Richel’s. He is the BEST pediatrician. He asks questions, carefully listens to responses and explains things in a fun, non-scary way to kids. He is great with kids of all ages. My son is heading off to college in the Fall and he still looks forward to his checkups with Dr. Pete. As my son says, he’s not just a great doctor, he’s also a great guy. If you’re lucky enough to have Dr. Pete Richel as your pediatrician, then you’ll be in the absolute best hands. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

PSA: To any parents in need of a pediatric urologist, I urge you to STAY AWAY from Pediatric Urology Associates!!! Two different MDs at this practice in 1 week failed to diagnose my son properly! Last week the first doc had no idea what was going on and wanted to schedule an experimental surgery in September and Tuesday a different doctor said he had a muscle pull and referred us to an orthopedic… luckily we Went to the Urology Institute today in Albany and they have diagnosed him and have scheduled his surgery for next week… I will never recommend PUA to anyone… offices are dingy and uninviting, the staff is short and have nasty attitudes…. TG for Dr. Rehfuss with ALB MED Urology!!!

My front desk encounter wasn’t pleasant They sent the registration link to a secondary contact, not sure how that happen since they called my cell phone to confirm. When I questioned this, he lady got very dismissive, asked for my number to resend the link, told me to seat down and fill it out on my phone. However, she could have easily give me paperwork. (Many other patients got it after me. After 20 minutes of waiting the 2nd lady at the front desk ask me for my report which mas missing and abruptly as to get it fax. On my way out, I stop at the front desk to make an appointment but they said to call to make the 2 month appointment since their schedule isn’t up until the end of January. I found their front staff to be rude! On the other hand, I must say that my NP visit went very well. She was very polite & gave me great inside on my little ones issue.
